UPDATE: No one has got both answers yet. For some reason comments are not showing up in the old post. So post your comments in this new post.
It's Quiz time! I know the Anne Boleyn junkies are probably going to get the first one pretty quickly so I had to throw in a vampire question too.
1. There was a bird in Anne Boleyn's Greenwich garden whose screams drove her mad. What was that bird?
2. In the 18th century, what food may have given rise to the belief in vampires?
Leave your answer in the comments below. The first person to answers both questions correctly wins a copy of Boleyn Tudor Vampire by Cinsearae S.
This one is for the US folks only.
1. Peacock
ReplyDelete2. Poppy or mustard seed
hmmm....let's see if I can guess;)

One of you has the answer to the first question. The second one is still out there.
ReplyDeleteYou can guess more than once but three times is the limit (I just make these rules up as I go :)
So here is the first clue
This food may some day fuel our cars.
If no one guesses it by tomorrow then the person who got answer #1 first is the winner.
If it does happen that no one guesses the second answer and the first person who guess correctly on question number one wins, will you be going by the comments from the original post? I checked and they're still there.
ReplyDeleteI suppose this will be my third and final guess.
ReplyDelete1. Peacock

ReplyDeletedang it! I commented on the first post but I said Peacock , but my #2 answer was completely wrong, I stated maybe those crazy Eastern Europeans were eating rabid fox meat and contracting rabies which was often confused with vampirism in the 18th century.
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a good answer. Yes, rabies and also porphyria have been confused with vampirism but the disease that I was thinking of was pellagra.
ReplyDeleteMore on pellagra tomorrow...
man... both my answers were completely wrong! I thought it was either ravens or magpies or crows. for my second answer I said sheep meat that had been "infected by the vampires" I learned about how a bunch of people died during the 18th century vampire scare, because they ate meat from sheep that was infected.
ReplyDelete1. Magpie
ReplyDelete2. Corn
